This is a prominent riverside location and a gateway to the inner city from the western suburbs. It's busy with cars, yes, but is also adjacent to one of the city's busiest bikeways. The Coronation Drive Viaduct presents a brutal design with its underside exposed for all to see. Ugly engineering at its worst and strong evidence that the cause of good design has a long way to go before it becomes the orthodoxy.
